6A. Account & App Data Deletion (Google Play / Mobile Apps)

If you use the Ameelio Hospitals (patient) app, Ameelio Staff app, or our website patient portal, you may request deletion of the personal data we hold for that digital account. This page and our online form support Google Play’s account / data deletion requirements.

How to request deletion

  • Open the form: delete-my-data.html (same hospital website where you used the app or services).
  • Provide your full name, mobile number used on the account, optional email, and which app/product applies.
  • Confirm the request and request a WhatsApp OTP to the same mobile number.
  • Enter the OTP to verify that you control the number. Only after OTP verification is your request accepted into our system.

What happens after you submit

  • OTP verification creates a request with status pending admin approval. Submitting does not immediately wipe data.
  • An authorised hospital administrator reviews the request (identity and account match).
  • If approved: app / portal account access is disabled; personal profile fields associated with that digital account are deleted or anonymised; active app login sessions and (for staff app, where applicable) device lock bindings may be cleared.
  • If rejected: you may be contacted for more information, or the request may be declined if verification fails. No deletion is performed until approval.
  • We aim to complete review within 30 days after a valid OTP-verified request, unless verification is delayed.

What we delete (when admin approves)

  • Digital account profile data used for app or website login (name, registered mobile/email on the portal account, as applicable).
  • Active patient portal / app sessions so you can no longer sign in with that account.
  • Staff app device binding data tied to the account where the request is for the Staff app (employment HR records are handled separately under hospital policy).

What we may retain (legal / clinical / financial)

  • Hospital clinical records, lab results, and treatment documents we must keep under applicable medical law, NABH/professional standards, or hospital retention policy.
  • Billing, invoices, payment/gateway references, and tax records for statutory retention periods.
  • Anonymised or aggregated statistics that do not identify you.
  • Records we are required to keep for investigation, dispute, fraud prevention, or legal process.
